Asamoah Gyan's penalty made Ghana the first African winners in the first tournament held on the continent. Crazy as the handball that led to the penalty was, Ghana were solid throughout and put themselves in the position to win. Everton this week cancelled their proposed trip to Ghana. Such a pity the game against Kotoko wasn't made to happen and organisational difficulties like this will only discourage clubs from visiting Ghana in the future.
