Ghana v Uganda Soundclash

The Black Stars face the Cranes of Uganda in a friendly match in Tamale in the north of Ghana on Sunday. Check our Twitter page for an update of the result. Below we have attached videos by popular musicians from Ghana and Uganda. Ayigbe Edem is from Keta's Volta Region and is currently Ghana's foremost Ewe musician. Bobbi Wine is a Ugandan musician with a controversial reputation but his very own foundation supports the community in which he lives.

Ugandan Football Tournament

Article on a community football tournament organised as part of the Guardian's excellent Katine Project. 48 teams will compete in the tournament which aims to promote unity amongst the local communities and which will also offer an excellent platform to sensitise the community on wider issues such as healthcare. Sponsored by Barclays and administered by Amref, the project seeks to develop the Katine area of Uganda in the same way we are looking to develop Keta in Ghana. Recent articles on the scheme cover topics including microfinance and HIV testing. Photograph by Dan Chung.
