Ugandan Football Tournament
Article on a community football tournament organised as part of the Guardian's excellent Katine Project. 48 teams will compete in the tournament which aims to promote unity amongst the local communities and which will also offer an excellent platform to sensitise the community on wider issues such as healthcare. Sponsored by Barclays and administered by Amref, the project seeks to develop the Katine area of Uganda in the same way we are looking to develop Keta in Ghana. Recent articles on the scheme cover topics including microfinance and HIV testing. Photograph by Dan Chung.
